2007/2008 Winter Camp Info.

One on One Baseball School has been set up to make your child a more complete and refined athlete.  In today’s society we all want our children have every advantage possible.  One in One instruction and repetition is the key to helping your child reach a higher level in competitive play.

The old saying goes, “practice makes perfect,” but I say “perfect practice makes perfect.”  Most coaches today are parents or volunteers who have time and good intentions, but they do not really know the fine points of the game.  In reality, if you are taught the wrong way from the beginning, you develop bad habits that eventually catch up with you.  Everyone is different, but there are basic fundamentals that you must learn and conquer.  I believe in my ability to get kids to listen and understand the game.  This will enable my instructors and I to teach your child the basics and make any changes necessary to enhance those skills on an individual basis.  Covering every aspect of the game from pitching mechanics to batting to running properly for more speed, you child will grow to reach their full potential.

I have been involved in sports for more than 30 years as a player and coach, in addition to running numerous camps and clinics.  The knowledge I have gained form some of the great players, managers and coaches who influenced my career in the Major Leagues is immeasurable, and I look forward to sharing it with your child.

Scholarships, being drafted to play professional ball – these are the things dreams are made of!  Give your child an opportunity to make their dream a reality!

“If your child is serious about the game of Baseball, I guarantee this is the camp for them,” says Dom Scala

Why Your Child Should Be At Winter Camp?

It is a known fact that baseball is on the rise here in the Northeast.  It is growing fast and it is as popular as it was in the 70’s and 80’s.  There are more leagues and tournaments today than ever before.  Teams are traveling to other states to see how they stack up against better competition.

One on One Winter Camp has been set up to keep that muscle memory intact from the summer and fall season.  This session will also start you on your way to the Spring 2007 season.  As you all know baseball is practically an all year round sport in the South, West and many parts of the world.  In order for your child to keep up with this competition, we in the Northeast must work with the latest technology, and work harder on basic fundamentals of the game all year round.  At this camp we will concentrate on hitting, fielding, pitching and running.

Another important fact that I stand by is that our camp instructors are the best teachers in New York.  I make sure that they are dedicated to the game and care that your child is getting the attention needed in order to be better players.

“My two sons a well as other kids form our CYPO team have been coming to Dom’s camp for five years.  They have been to other camps as well.  None compare to the dedication, instruction and organization that he offers to his campers.”  Debbie Lentino from Flushing.

“First I have to compliment you on a terrific camp at Adelphi campus last week.  My son Anthony Imparato has still not stopped talking about it.  Although he is only 13 he has attended many different camps from many good instructors but felt yours was the best.  At first with the age difference he thought he was not going to play with the older group but truly felt he belonged.  I thank you for making him feel that way.  Again, thank you for a great job.”  Jim Imparato.
